Costumes on the Actors

Here are the costumes of the characters, the actors here have tried them on. I believe every single outfit worked for the character it was for and made the look of the film better, and also captured the essence of the script well. It especially worked for Pamela, her performance, costume and dialogue made the full package and just worked. It make you like the character because she looks so crazy, even though she is super rude and racist!

Jane looks great and exactly how she should be. She looks like shes trying to dress younger than her age, she gives off the vibe that she puts herself over others, and has the typical mean girl look. She is exactly that. I feel you can tell she is trying to use this situation as a platform for fame as she looks too good to be shopping in a supermarket like this.

Nick and Stacey go well together because they match. The idea was that they would wear similar style clothes to help aid the fact that they are together. It also can hint at why they have lots of trouble because neither of them are unique, they both look the same so maybe that could be why they have issues – lack of freedom and individuality.

Byron and Valerie aid the idea of branding the supermarket and making it feel real. Both are wearing uniforms, both are accurate to supermarket attire due to the research I conducted.

Ashir looks exactly what I wanted. I wanted him to not take away too much shine from other characters like Pamela and Jane but I didn’t want him to be too bland, that is why I settled with a coloured button up shirt. I think it works well for his character.

Costume for Ez Mart Workers

I decided that the workers in the supermarket should have a costume that will match the aesthetic of the shop. I wanted it to look real, so looked into costumes at shops in Farnham and nearly all had an embroided logo stitched into a polo shirt. To keep in line with my branding idea and colour scheme, I decided the polo shirt should be grey. Above is my process on how I got to the grey polo shirt, trying out different colours first. Another main reason is that these will have blood on them so it needs to show up, and grey will do this effectively.

This is the final design I have for the workers shirt, with the final logo. I feel it works well as the colours are vibrant against the grey polo shirt and the whole thing works with the Ez Mart brand. I had these shirts made via a shop on eBay to cut costs.
