I decided to create a logo for the supermarket in the script. It never had a name, so I decided to go with EZ Mart, which I found being simple and effective. Out of these four logos I liked the leaf design, due to the fact that it felt more professional and realistic. It also felt easier to brand for and create a colour scheme, and was the most visually pleasing.
From there I decided to play around with the colour scheme. I found the all green logo a bit too bland, and I was concerned it wouldn’t really show up well on the costume for the workers. Discussing this with Matt, he agreed. The supermarket colour scheme is red and green, so the logo has to match this to have a consistent brand. The brand is very important for a supermarket, so it should be the case for the film too.
This is the final logo for the supermarket, Ez Mart. I feel this was the best choice, due to it looking professional, matches the red and green colour scheme of the supermarket and visually stands out for the camera department.
